In this episode, we discuss the allegation that the Trump administration is selling pardons for around 1 million dollars apiece. We highlight the specific case of Joseph Schwartz. He was a nursing home owner who stole 38.9 million dollars from his employees and the IRS. He pled guilty to two counts and got three years and five million in restitution. He then paid 960,000 dollars to receive a pardon after several months of incarceration. This guy was sued by the families of two different patients and lost 19.6 and 17 million in those lawsuits. Since his 50-60 million dollars was hidden in shell companies, they couldn't collect. He also happens to be a Jewish rabbi.
