The problem with the story of Zyklon B being used for mass exterminations at Auschwitz is that the people who made up this story have no idea how Zyklon B functions. Zyklon B requires an ambient temperature of 78.8 degrees F or 26 degrees C to activate. Auschwitz is located at latitude lines similar to the American border with Canada, so conditions for this to work would happen several days out of the year in July and August. From an engineering perspective, the Germans did not have the capability at Auschwitz to use Zyklon B to commit the Holocaust.
