Changing the Word Pedophile to the less Stigmatic MAP (Minor Attracted Person)

The definition of pedophilia is sexual perversion in which children are the preferred sexual object.¹ The definition of a MAP, or minor attracted person, is an umbrella term which covers all the minor attractions - nepiophilia, pedophilia, hebephilia, and ephebophilia.²

The term pedophile has a very negative stigma to it. The attempt to change the word pedophile into minor attracted person is an attempt to lessen the stigma and also an attempt to get pedophiles admitted under the banner of LGBTQ protection.³
