Zionism and Manifest Destiny Similarities?

In this episode, Jack draws a comparison between the settler expansionism of Zionism into the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Golan Heights to the settler expansionism of American pioneers into American Indian territories during the period of Manifest Destiny. There are striking comparisons between the two events. Despite the similarities, when you take into account the nature of the two religions - Christianity and Orthodox Judaism (because most of the Israeli settlers are Orthodox Jews), the conclusion must be that 100 years from now there will not be normalization with the Palestinians and equal rights due to the differences between the two types of settlers.
